How to Measure Your Fence Area
1. Sketch Your Fence Line: Draw a rough layout showing each straight run of fencing. Measure along the centre line of where the fence will sit.
2. Count Your Sections: A section is one straight line of fencing. Use a tape measure to get the length of each section in millimetres and write it on your sketch. Start a new section at each corner, change in direction or step in ground height.
3. Mark Gate Locations: Decide where your gate(s) will go and mark them clearly on your sketch. Pool gates must open away from the pool area.
4. Mark Raked Panels: Add a raked panel if a section runs down a slope. A raked panel has an angled top edge so the fence follows the ground while staying compliant. Raked panels always go at the end of a section.
