Click Fencing ("we", "us", "our") operates clickfencing.com.au (the "Site"). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. What We Collect
We collect personal information you provide to us and information collected automatically when you use the Site:
- Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and delivery/billing address when you place an order, request a quote, submit an enquiry or plans, book an inspection, or contact us.
- Order and quote information — products ordered, fence measurements and configurations you enter into our calculators, and quote details saved to your session or account.
- Payment information — payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our systems.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and pages viewed, collected via cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working (for example, keeping your cart and quote), measure Site performance, and improve our products.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to: process and deliver your orders; prepare and manage quotes; respond to enquiries and provide customer support; arrange delivery with freight and courier partners; verify payments and prevent fraud; improve the Site, our calculators and our product range; and, where you have opted in or would reasonably expect it, send you service messages and marketing about our products. You can opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
3. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, with: Shopify (which hosts the Site and processes orders and payments); payment providers; delivery, freight and installation partners (limited to what they need to deliver or install your order); and IT, email and analytics service providers. These providers may store data on servers located outside Australia (for example, Shopify's infrastructure); where that occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is treated consistently with Australian privacy law. We may also disclose information where required by law.
4. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function (such as keeping items in your cart and preserving your calculator quote between pages) and to understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may stop parts of the Site — including the cart and calculators — from working properly.
5. Storage & Security
Your information is stored on secure systems operated by Shopify and our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and we retain it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records).
6. Access & Correction
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. You may also ask us to delete information we are not required to retain.
7. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
