How to Measure Your Pool Area for Frameless Glass Fencing

1. Sketch Your Pool Area
Draw a rough layout showing each straight section of where the fence will go. Measure along the centre line of where the fence will sit—not the edge of your deck or slab. Start your measurement 100mm in from the slab or deck edge. This accounts for where the glass panels will sit on spigots.

2. Count Your Sections
A section is one straight line of fencing. Use a tape measure to get the length of each section (in millimetres). Write down each length on your sketch. Start a new section at each corner, curve, or chane in ground height

3. Mark Gate Locations
Decide where your gate(s) will go and mark them clearly on your sketch.

4. Mark Raked Panels
Input a raked panle if your fence line runs across a gradient or sloping section. A raked panel has one angled edge, allowing it to follow the slope while keeping the top line of the fence consistent.Raked panels should always go at the end of a section, and gates can’t be hinged to them.

5. Gap Checkpoint
Check if you need gaps at the ends of each side — for example, if Side 1 and Side 2 connect directly (and so on), as shown in the diagram.
