D&D MagnaLatch side pull, lockable — a magnetic pool gate latch for gates where a top pull will not suit. Supplied with the D&D GateStop.

The magnet draws the bolt shut as the gate closes, so it self-latches without being slammed, and the key lock holds the gate closed when the pool is out of use. No springs to seize up in salt air.

The GateStop is included because a side pull latch needs the gate to stop square against it — without one the gate can swing past the striker and fail to latch. It bolts to the gate post and is packed with this latch every time.

For perforated mesh pool gates.

Materials and care

Toughened safety glass — 12mm, to AS1288 and AS2208, NATA certified. Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Never use abrasive pads or scourers.

Powder-coated aluminium — rinse with fresh water every few months, and more often near the coast where salt builds up. A mild detergent lifts anything the hose leaves behind.

Stainless steel, 316 and G2205 marine grade — rinse with fresh water. Light surface tea staining is normal in coastal air and is not corrosion of the steel itself; a proprietary stainless cleaner removes it and restores the finish.

Avoid pool chemicals splashing onto hardware, abrasive cleaners, and steel wool, which leaves particles behind that rust and stain.
